Maternity Bolas or also called Harmony Balls have been worn as necklaces by pregnant women for centuries now.
They are found in various cultures, for example in Bali and Mexico women have traditionally worn maternity bolas when pregnant and afterwards.
A maternity bola contains a small item that makes very subtle and soothing sound with movement, not unlike the sound of wind charms in a very soft breeze.
Maternity bolas are generally worn on long necklace or a cord so that they rest on the belly of the pregnant mom. From about 20 weeks into the pregnancy the unborn baby is able to hear the soft soothing sound coming from the maternity bola. In this way the soft chiming sound soothes the unborn baby and can even have calming benefits for the mother to be.
Maternity bolas are called different names in different societies, for example harmony ball, chime ball, chime pendant, druid bells, Mexican Bolas, Bali Harmony Balls and similar names. Even though the word ball is usually associated with a harmony ball pendant these pendants can come in many other shapes one typically is the shape of a heart.
Maternity bolas are often worn for a period of time after the child is born. The real benefits come after the baby is born. The baby recognizes the familiar soothing sound of the maternity bola and this has a calming effect on both baby and mom. After birth mum will shorten her long maternity ball necklace so that the baby can hear it and play while resting in her arms.
The maternity bola can also be attached to the pram, baby bed or baby carrier, where it has the same relaxing effect on the baby.
In some cultures like the Balinese a maternity bola is a keepsake, passed on from Mother to Daughter.

Returns and refunds:
If you would like to exchange or return non-defective products, they must be returned in the same packaging, unwashed, unused, and in re-sellable condition. Items must have been purchased within the last 14 days. We reserve the right to refuse a refund if the items have any signs of wear, alteration, misuse or damage.
Once processed, refunds will be returned to the same form of payment used to make the purchase with in 10 days.
